The drift-stop curtain seals the shroud to the turf's surface. Combined with the airfoil, that eliminates the uplifting eddy. You get the maximum drift control viable in the world today.

THE PROBLEM EDDY OF SIMPLE SHROUDS

Sprayers without an airfoil: a simple shroud pushes the air up, creating an uplifting eddy behind the shroud that throws drops up into the air to become drift, which is similar to dust behind a station wagon, only you cannot see drift. The Windfoil was developed in a wind tunnel to eliminate the eddy and contain the spray inside away from the wind. An airfoil was used to redirect the upcoming air down behind the shroud eliminating the eddy and immensely improving drift control as documented in the Agriculture Canada Test.
